ARCHITECTURE OF DOCKS IN LAKES
HEXAGONAL ARCHITECTURE:
Hexagonal architecture is a style of architecture that moves the focus of a programmer from a more conceptual plane towards the distinction between the inside and the outside of the software. The inner part is the practical cases and the domain model is built on it. The outer part is UI, database, messaging, etc. The connection between the inside and the outside is through ports, and their equivalent implementation are known as adapters. For this reason, this style of architecture is commonly known as Docks and Adapters.
The hexagonal architecture promotes the separation of issues by encapsulating the logic in different layers of the application. This allows higher level isolation, testability, and control over the specific business code. Each layer of the application has a strict group of responsibilities and requirements. This creates clearer separations between logic and functionality, and how those layers should interact with each other.
Each part of the hex represents an input - port, for example HTTP, that uses an adapter for a specific type. Creates a clear separation between the domain model and the devices used for the inputs or outputs.
The docks constitute dynamic infrastructures that demand a permanent renewal, either by means of the rehabilitation of the existent facilities, by the extension of the same ones or execution of new ones.
In this drawing we can see a very common type of lake dock.
CONCLUSION: lake docks have practically the same architecture as river docks.
